Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev laid the “first stone” in the construction of the Fizuli-Shusha highway in Nagorno-Karabakh. At the ceremony, he said that this road would greatly facilitate travel to Shusha.

It should be noted that initially the city was not part of Artsakh, and Armenia took control of it already in 1993, but at the same time it still continued to be included in Azerbaijan, was considered occupied, and they tried to take it back. and because of the clashes, residents left the village.
It should be reminded that the city returned to Azerbaijan under an agreement signed by the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia on the night of November 10. They agreed to end hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh and bring a Russian peacekeeping contingent into the region.
