A sports bar in Scotland has come up with a new way to circumvent legislation that prohibits drinking indoors without food during quarantine.
The newspaper “The Sun” writes about it.
The bar is promoted, offering free mashed potatoes and sausages to every customer, and will remain in effect until legislation prohibiting drinking indoors without food is lifted.

The owners hope the action will help them survive the quarantine and help those hard hit by the pandemic by providing free food.
In Scotland, there is a five-tiered system of restrictions – a strict control system that includes restrictions on bars and restaurants.
The owners of the bar note that their business has suffered greatly due to the lockdown introduced in Scotland. They had to close down for a while and fire employees.

Before the restrictions were introduced, the work shift involved one worker per shift, but now there are two people working in the bar, which indicates a significant improvement in the situation.
“If the authorities extend the restrictions, the bar may close altogether,” the message says.

People who cannot eat at home can eat for free when they come to the bar.
It should be noted that such a “scheme” is not possible in Ukraine. Throughout the country, a “weekend quarantine” has been introduced on weekends until the end of November, and therefore only food to go is possible. On the rest of the days, there are restrictions on the “orange zone”, which provides for the work of cafes, bars and restaurants until 22:00.
As previously reported, the coronavirus is breaking records not only in Ukraine, but also in the United States and Europe. So, in the USA, Britain and France, they broke the spring-summer records of morbidity and mortality.
