President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the people are locked into his powers. According to him, in order to transfer part of the powers of the president, “the Constitution should not be broken.”
It is reported by “Pool of the First”.
He is ready to consider a bill that the parliament will prepare on this issue.
“We have recently agreed with the leadership of the parliament that in order to transfer 70-80% of the powers of the president to the parliament, government, other structures, the Constitution should not be broken. Therefore, all the questions that you brought to the President on a hundred pages lie in the plane of the parliament and the government, ” he said.
Let us remind you that on October 25 the deadline for the ultimatum of the Belarusian opposition, in which Alexander Lukashenko was called upon to resign, came out. As a result, a popular strike was declared in Belarus on October 26. At the same time, from the very morning of Monday, the security forces began to detain and disperse the protesters. More than 300 people were detained on the first day of the new strike.
